This experiential workshop involves outdoor learning. The professional will have an embodied experience of the considerations, challenges, and ethical solutions. There will be a brief review of theoretical frameworks and scientific research evidence base supporting incorporating nature into therapeutic practices. This workshop emphasises the ethics of moving therapy outdoors. Standard HPCSA ethical practices for psychotherapy will be discussed in terms of the challenges to the application thereof when outdoors, and potential solutions will be provided. Ethical guidelines for therapy in natural contexts will be presented. Participants will experience evidence-based ecotherapy activities. Furthermore, they will design and test an intervention to implement in their own therapeutic context.
