Part 2 looks at risk assessment in mental health users from a psychiatric perspective including physical and non-physical risks to patients, family and the community. The presentation also includes a discussion on de-escalation techniques when dealing with dysregulated/distressed individuals.
This presentation aims to promote understanding of Borderline Personality Disorder and to reduce the stigmatization of mental health users with Borderline personality Disorder. Furthermore, it aims to improve knowledge and confidence to assess various immediate and chronic risks associated with mental health care users. Lastly, it aims to improve de-escalation and containment skills when dealing with distressed/dysregulated individuals
