The focus of the presentation is the use of Expressive Arts ie sound/song, art/symbol and story-telling/re-writing towards wellbeing when working with clients who are not necessarily able to express and release emotions through cognition and talk-based interventions alone. The Expressive Arts Therapies offer a somato-sensory awareness and release of stored emotions which cannot be accessed through talk therapies alone.
