Practical, interactive short courses held at Vista Clinic which consist of a number of in-depth modules, ranging from 1-5 days in duration, per module. They cater to specialised mental health professionals, nurses and care workers.
The Short Course in Mental Health Nursing for Registered Nurses consists of three modules, namely Module 1 (Psychiatric Nursing Methods and Skills), Module 2 (Psychopathology) and Module 3 (Legal-Ethical and Theoretical Aspects of Mental Health Nursing).
N.B.: These modules do not need to be completed in any specific order. Should delegates wish to attend only certain themes/days, they may contact us to make a special booking arrangement. A certificate will be received for each day attended.
Upon successful completion of all three modules, learners will receive a certificate of completion for the Short Course in Mental Health Nursing for Registered Nurses.

The Short Course in Caring for the Mental Health Care User consists of three modules, namely Module 1 (Practising Care in a Psychiatric Environment), Module 2 (Caring for the MHCU with a Mental Illness) and Module 3 (Legal-Ethical Aspects of Care Work in a Psychiatric Environment).

Upon successful completion of all three modules, learners will receive a certificate of completion for the Short Course in Caring for the Mental Health Care User for Care Workers.
Registration can only be finalised once online booking AND payment is received before the closing date. Closing date and time is 16:00, 7 [seven] days before the training in question. No bookings are available on the day of the activity and no telephonic or e-mail bookings can be accepted.

All cancellations are to be in writing and addressed to cancellations@vistaacademy.co.za 3 [three] days prior to the short course module that was booked for. No refunds will be made in the event of cancellation after the 3 [three]-day period, but delegate substitutions will be permitted up until 48 [forty eight] hours before the training. Delegate substitutions need to be communicated in writing and addressed to booking@vistaacademy.co.za
In the case of non-arrival, no refunds will be made.

Upon conclusion of each module, attendees must submit the evaluation form electronically within 14 [fourteen] days, by logging onto their Online Learning Space account. A certificate of attendance or statement of results is then made available on the delegate’s account to view, download, save or e-mail.
